Mexico City, July 2020 – Ermenegildo Zegna is pleased to announce the relocation of our new Flagship Store in Mexico City. Located in the prestigious Avenida Presidente Masaryk, the capital’s elegant, tree-lined luxury retail destination, the standalone boutique celebrates the company’s commitment to the city and to this important market on the occasion of Zegna’s 110 years of history. Approaching the store, customers are greeted by an exterior of metal rods, echoing the woven yarns of Zegna’s fine fabrics and our enduring dedication to craftsmanship. The two-floor boutique is home to the complete world of Zegna. From the timeless elegance of Ermenegildo Zegna, to the performance-driven luxury of Z Zegna, to the couture-level artisanship of the Ermenegildo Zegna XXX collection born on the Milano runway.

Designed by Zegna’s in-house architects, the 260m² store effortlessly blends tradition with modernity. The natural tones of cerused ashwood, bleached mahogany and Zebrano wood complement the distinctive vals stone flooring with its serpentine green inserts. Purposefully positioned among the garments is a series of modernist and contemporary masterpieces by Italy’s foremost furniture designers, including a set of Tobias Scarpa’s Bastiano armchairs and sofa (1962), all in sumptuous blue leather; a pair of Carlo Mollino’s iconic Gilda chairs (1954); a coffee table by architect Peter Marino; and Ignazio Gardella’s handsome Tato dining table (1948), surrounded by a set of Campanino 900 chairs by Fratelli Levaggi. As with all Zegna stores, the Flagship presents an opportunity to showcase the company’s longstanding environmental commitments, which date back to the pioneering vision of its founder, Ermenegildo Zegna. Situated in the stairwell, the photograph “La Diga” by photographer Mattias Klum pictures the Oasi Zegna nature preserve in the Biella Alps. It is a reminder of the company’s continued commitment to sustainability and its own territory, where everything started in 1910.
