Tokyo, March 7th 2022 – Zegna, the leading global luxury menswear brand, is celebrating its rebranding with the opening of a new flagship store in Ginza, Tokyo, as it has entered in a new exciting chapter of its history. To mark this new era, Zegna logo has been updated in a modernized font that encapsulates the new brand identity: the Ginza boutique is among the first global boutiques to have the new logo sign featured in the façade of the store.
Cosmopolitan Ginza has been a trendsetting model of Japan’s modernization since the late 19th century and remains one of Tokyo’s most upscale and up-to-date commercial areas today. The new Ginza boutique, located on the fashionable Namiki street, features a complete new luxury offering with 350 square metres of retail space on two levels, where the new Zegna identity under the Artistic Direction of Alessandro Sartori is unveiled, following a clear agenda in which practicality and pragmatism get a progressive spin on tradition and craftmanship to meet the modern man’s style needs towards a Luxury Leisurewear take and a new style language.
The store’s interior design employs a neutral colour palette, with walls decorated with ash wood and 3D plaster moldings. Natural rosewood display cases and luxurious metal racks, backlit with soft LED lights, showcase the refined details of Zegna’s clothing and accessories. The boutique is complemented by a careful selection of design elements including an unrivalled contemporary décor pieces and design masters, such as German-born architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s Barcelona Couch and Digamma lounge chairs by Ignazio Gardella (1957), it offers a relaxing sense of modern luxury, creating an intimate and stylish space for the customers. Of particular note is the bench, inspired by the brand new bar concept used in our flagship in Rome.
