Shanghai, October 20th 2021 – Zegna, the world-renowned Italian luxury fashion house, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in China with the opening of two new flagship stores in Shanghai, located in HKRI Taikoo Hui and Shanghai Taikoo Li Qiantan.

The new Taikoo Hui boutique, situated in Jing’an District, features Zegna’s newly-upgraded My Zegna, made-to-measure services with over 500 square metres of retail space. Reflecting Zegna’s brand heritage and strong commitment to art and design, the new boutique cleverly combines modern elements with touches of luxury to create an elegant gallery of menswear for today’s modern men.

The store’s interior design employs a neutral colour palette, with walls decorated with ash wood and 3D plaster moldings. Natural rosewood display cases and luxurious metal racks, backlit with soft LED lights, showcase the refined details of Zegna’s clothing and accessories.

The boutique is complemented by a careful selection of design elements including an unrivalled contemporary décor pieces and design masters, such as German-born architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s Barcelona Couch and American designer Warren Platner’s 1966 Lounge Chair, it offers a relaxing sense of modern luxury, creating an intimate and stylish space for the customers. Of particular note is the wooden table by Italian designer Ignazio Gardella in the My Zegna experience area.

The new Taikoo Hui flagship store is also the third globally and the first flagship store in China to introduce the Atrium design concept, integrating classic Italian elegance with an enhanced shopping experience to create an inviting, luxury space where customers can socialise comfortably and privately.

Shanghai Taikoo Li Qiantan is a new Zegna landmark in Pudong District. The new boutique design features a sophisticated atmosphere with framed natural woods and bright tones running along the entire ground floor. Occupying over 300 square meters, the Taikoo Li flagship store naturally blends its luxury retail space with modernity, where customers can personalise their wardrobe entirely.

Newness and brightness fill the store interior with a series of contemporary masterpieces by Italy’s foremost furniture-makers and design masters like Italian architect and designer Tobia Scarpa and designer Gio Ponti.

Echoing Zegna’s efforts in sustainability, the Taikoo Li flagship store is infused with this spirit. Beyond our products, customers also have the opportunity to experience Oasi Zegna first-hand in a scaled-down version of the nature park thoughtfully replicated outside its original environment. Oasi Zegna is a nature reserve that stretches 100 km2 from Trivero to the peaks of the Biella Alps in Northern Italy and it represents the living path of Ermenegildo Zegna’s green approach. The Oasi Zegna garden in Taikoo Li is a walking pathway, showcasing several different botanical species on the building’s terrace, mapping out the history of our nature reserve.

Meanwhile, the Triple Stitch, sophisticated tailored heritage welcomes a new spectrum of sophisticated colours and materials, including #UseTheExisting™ fabrics. The updated Triple Stitch Sneaker showcases the two leading paths of Zegna’s #UseTheExisting™ project, featuring a soft wool upper made from recovered 14MILMIL14 fibres, threads, and fabrics from all phases of the production process, encompassing Zegna’s green vision for the future. The newly envisioned #UseTheExisting™ wool version of the Triple Stitch Sneaker is available amongst a selection of elevated materials including soft suede, grained calf leather, deerskin and canvas, finished with signature elasticated straps, forming the iconic XXX logo, so it can conveniently slip on and off with ease.
