Alpaca

The Alpaca was first domesticated thousands of years ago by the peoples living in the highest reaches of the Andes; its long, durable fibres are extensively used by native Andean population into textiles and clothing.
Alpaca Fibre is, together with Vicuña, its wild relative, one of the natural fibres used in the Zegna collections for jackets and knitwear, eventually designed in gorgeous, natural, undyed colours, when sourced in different shades from white to cream, brown to black. Being a natural insulator, the Zegna Group makes a wise, expert use of alpaca in performance garments, luxurious overcoats and highly valued scarfs and blanket.
