Our Hiring Process

Hiring Overview
At Zegna, we value the unique human touch that every person brings to our company. It’s these individuals who shape our continued success by building upon Zegna’s legacy with their experience, expertise, and integrity. We’re always looking for passionate and tenacious individuals to join us. People with fresh ideas, who have an entrepreneurial spirit, who love a challenge, and who cherish a welcoming work environment that allows them to express their potential. We look forward to working with you.

"My colleagues are genuine and supportive. I feel close to them and that I can express my ideas freely without being judged."

What to Expect
There are typically four phases to our hiring process. However, please keep in mind that these may slightly differ depending on the country or position you’re applying for and its specific requirements.
01 Application

The first step is to submit your application and CV through the Zegna Group website, as this is the only manner in which we can receive and accept applications. Once received, one of our Zegna Talent Acquisition Partners will review and screen your application against the criteria for the role that you’ve applied for.

02 Initial Contact

If your application meets the position’s criteria, you will receive either a phone call or an invitation for a video interview. In both cases, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the company and the role and be asked to tell us about your experience and your interest in working for Zegna.

03 Meet Our People

Depending on the position you have applied for, you may be asked to attend a series of interviews to get to know the people you will be working with, provide a work sample (such as a portfolio), complete a practical assessment, or attend an assessment centre. These activities help us to better understand what you can bring to the role and whether we’re the right match.

04 Decision & Offer

At the end of the process, our Hiring team will take the time to discuss your application and come back to you with a final decision.

Interview Tips
We want candidates to show their true selves, to demonstrate their potential and their desire to be part of our hands-on, heads-on, hearts-on culture. To best prepare for your interview, we’ve put together a few helpful guidelines covering what we consider when making our hiring decisions.

Additional Pointers

All of ourinterview tips are relevant when it comes to video interviews. However, we appreciate it’s not the same experience, so here are a few additional pointers.

Practise

You will have the chance to answer three practice video questions before recording your response to the official question that will be seen by our recruiters. These practice questions will help you understand how the actual interview will take place, as well as allow you to check your audio, video quality, background and lighting.

Dress for yourself and smile

Just like in a live interview, we want you to be your best, so wear something you are comfortable in and will show the authentic you. We know speaking to a video camera can be intimidating but try being yourself and have fun with the experience.

Do not panic if your connection is interrupted during a question

If a technical error occurs during your interview, please resume the interview and contact HireVue at support@hirevue.com once it’s completed, as your interrupted answer may be sent by mistake. This email address can also be found on all the help pages on the HireVue platform.

“I thought joining a group with over 100 years of history could be a bit intimidating. Instead, I found an easy environment where an informal approach almost always reigns at the highest levels of the organisational structure. It helped me to get into the Zegna ‘family’ dynamic right away.”

I have been asked to complete a video interview: what does that mean?

A digital interview is your chance to tell us what can’t be put into words on your resume. Simply record your answers to the pre-set interview questions using your computer, webcam, or mobile device. After receiving your interview recording, we will review your responses and contact you regarding next steps. We think you’ll find the digital interview a great experience, and here’s why:
Convenient – Unlike a traditional interview, a digital interview works around you, allowing you to fit it into your schedule at a time that’s most convenient for you.
Personal – A digital interview allows you to tell your story in a personal and dynamic way. It also allows you to highlight aspects of your experience and provide relevant details that go beyond the points listed in your resume.
Fair – In a digital interview, all candidates receive the same set of questions. And all interviews are reviewed by our hiring team. It means you’ll receive the same treatment and exposure, whether you’re the first to interview or the last.
Open – Digital interviews are shared across our various hiring teams, which means your single session will reach more than one recruiter. It’s also stored for 6 months, so if you apply to a similar position in future, you may not be required to complete another interview.
